As many as six people broke into a BMW motorcycle dealership in Orange on Thursday night, May 11, and stole two motorcycles worth about $38,000, police said.
Officers were sent to Irv Seaver BMW Motorcycles on Katella Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. when a burglar alarm went off, said Orange police Sgt. Phil McMullin.
“A witness in the area saw a dark truck with a white trailer and about six subjects,” McMullin said. The witness at first thought it might be store employees but then saw that the front entrance had been forced open.
The dealership sells a variety of motorcycles, namely BMW sport ones, according to its website. McMullin said investigators don’t have descriptions of the suspects, who sped off with the bikes loaded onto the trailer, but are checking surveillance footage.
