What is Drop Off Shredding?
Shred Bull’s drop off shredding allows you to bring your documents to a convenient location where we will shred them at a later time. Your documents will be professionally shredded by Shred Bull. Our Drop Off Shredding partners keep your documents safe in one of our locked security carts until Shred Bull comes by and shreds the documents up. You should expect to pay them $10 per standard bankers box(about 25lbs) of paper(1 box minimum). Paper only – please no metal, 3 ring binders, hanging folders, etc. Paper clips and staples are ok:)

Drop Off Shredding Locations – Irvine, Tustin, Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel
Shred Bull is open for business.
We wear a mask and are adhering to CDC social distancing recommendation that everyone should try to stay at least 6 feet away from each other(yes this is easy to accomplish during a Shred Bull Shredding appointment).
In addition to staying 6 feet apart, we are encouraging those with special conditions/concerns to request outdoor appointments(what does this mean?):
- Residential clients should have their documents in front of their garage or in the driveway.
- Businesses, please have your documents by the front door or receiving area.
These measures are for your safety.
To recap, 6ft social distancing, Out door/open air appointments only please:)

Shred Bull Official Drop Off Locations are separately owned and operated. As such, they make their own hours and rules. Obviously, since they have to maintain safety within a store, they have a much larger job than my mobile shredding service. Please contact the drop off location prior to showing up to make sure they are open. Each location charges $10 per banker box(15″x12″x10″). Paper only please(no metal). There are many situations when a business may need immediate document destruction “yesterday.” Sometimes, due to high work volume and deadlines, office cleanup may not be managed perfectly or, perhaps a deadline for disposing documents has to be pushed forward because of a move or an inspection. Whatever the reason, drop off shredding centers are your best and most common sense means to an end.
Because of the prevalence of identity theft, the Federal Government now requires that businesses destroy all documents that contain protected information of clients, employees and associates such as: social security numbers, names, addresses and driver’s license numbers. Maintaining these files in office is now a legal liability as cited in The Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003. This federal law mandates the destruction of documents that contain protected information.
The FACT Act states:
Sec. 682.3 Proper disposal of consumer information.
A) Standard. Any person who maintains or otherwise possesses consumer information, or any compilation of consumer information, for a business purpose must properly dispose of such information by taking reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access to or use of the information in connection with its disposal.
B) Examples. Reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access to or use of consumer information in connection with its disposal would include implementing and monitoring compliance with policies and procedures that require the burning, pulverizing, or shredding of papers containing consumer information so that the information cannot practicably be read or reconstructed.
Drop off shredding centers are a fast and convenient way to dispose of these vulnerable and confidential documents that are commonplace in almost every business. If you are in a time crunch need documents destroyed immediately, this is by far the best method to use. Open during convenient hours and immediately available when you need it, drop off shredding centers are the best way for your documents to go.
